Operating systems
Zurzeit werden vom IT-Team folgende Betriebssysteme auf Arbeitsplatzrechnern unterstützt: Currently the IT-team offers support for the following operating systems:
- ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Linux)
- Windows 7 (SP1)
Other operating systems need to be installed and maintained by the users themselves. For these other systems no support can be guaranteed.
Network-Filesystem
AFS
At the mathematics department the home directories of the users will be installed under AFS as follows:
/afs/math.uni-hamburg.de/users/<FBG>/<USERID> (Unix)
\\afs\math.uni-hamburg.de\users\<FBG>\<USERID> (Windows)

| <USERID> | identification of the RRZ (computing centre of the University of Hamburg) |
Für den Zugriff auf die persönliche Homepage befindet sich in der Wurzel des Homeverzeichnisses der Link public_html.
For accessing your personal homepage please use the link public_html which you can find within your home directory.
Novell
Für alle Benutzerkennungen werden im RRZ auf dem Novell-Cluster Homeverzeichnisse bereit gehalten, die als 'UHH Disk' über https://uhhdisk.nds.uni-hamburg.de/NetStorage/ erreichbar sind.
