Operating systems
Currently the IT-team offers support for the following operating systems:

- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

- Windows 10 LTSB
- OS X (limited support)
- OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)
- OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)
- OS X 10.11 (El Capitan)
Other operating systems and moreover Dual-Boot-systems need to be installed and maintained by the users themselves. For these other systems no support can be guaranteed.
Network-Filesystem
AFS
At the mathematics department the home directories of the users are installed under AFS as follows:
/afs/math.uni-hamburg.de/users/<GROUP>/<USERID> (Unix)
\\afs\math.uni-hamburg.de\users\<GROUP>\<USERID> (Windows)
| <GROUP> | Research- or Usergroup (e.g. ad, am, az, dd…) |
| <USERID> | identification (e.g. fmrg053) of the RRZ (computing centre of the University of Hamburg) |
For accessing your personal homepage please use the link public_html which you can find within your home directory.
Novell
For all user identifications the RRZ provides home directories on a Novell-Cluster, which can be accessed as 'UHH Disk' via: https://uhhdisk.nds.uni-hamburg.de/NetStorage/
